Note:
The title « Transformation & renovation » could be misunderstood and should only be « transformation ». For a renovation – i.e. changing single glazed windows by double glazed windows or insulating the building’s envelope of a detached house– no digital mockup might be necessary. But when planning a spatial or structural change to a historic complex, it might be wise to consider the application of  the BIM method. Although for this particular purpose R&D on « historic BIM » is necessary as noticed during the SBB pilot project on the Vallorbe Station.
